#54 - the dog days of summer

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is the dog days of summer...you need to use a dog somewhere on your project...I chose to do this cute little 3-d card image with some foiling to make a vintage ish looking card...it is not my forte but I tried lol.  Play along with us, will you?

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use a charm somewhere on your project.  I had to make some cute little baby cards so what better time than now to use up some of the baby charms that I have been hoarding for years...cleaning out the craft room leads you to all kinds of treasures....play along with us, will you?

#49-51 gone fishing

This week's challenge at shopping our stash is to use a fish or sea scene on your project....I thought I would throw together these cute little fish as part of a set of encouragement cards that I made for my aunt who was recovering from some severe medical stuff....this little fish swims around in a circle...so cute.  Play along with us, will you?

#47-48 card based on a book

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to make a project based on a book...I chose Peter Pan and did a Tinkerbell fairy card.  Tinkerbell was my daughter's favourite for years and I felt that she was the perfect choice.

#38 - 46 - Christmas in July

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is Christmas in July - whip up a few Christmas cards and get a jump on the holiday rush.  I threw a few together in some non-traditional colours and with no snow on them so as not to jinx our 30C summer weather that has finally hit here...play along with us, will you?

#37 - get punny

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use a pun on your project...to me a taco is always a win and in combination with a birthday celebration it takes first place.  Play along with us, will you?

#33-36 get your stencil on

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use some stencils on your project...I did a bit of a zigzag pattern with some blue ink and made a set of simple cards with it.  Play along with us, will you?

#32 - get your drink on

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use a beverage of some sort on your project...my choice would be a Starbucks decaf non fat no foam latte with two pumps of vanilla if I had to have my choice...play along with us, will you?

#31 - May flowers

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use a flower on your project.  I made this one with alcohol inks at a crop and thought it fit into the challenge perfectly so here it is...It was a fun technique that I like playing with.  Play along with us, will you?

#29-30 - Hello Cupcake

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use a cupcake on your project somewhere...I couldn't resist these two smiley face cupcakes and had to use them on some fun kiddo birthday cards...embellished them with a bit of stickies sparkle and voila...quick and easy...

#28 - chipboard

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use chipboard on your project...I haven't worked with chipboard in a long time and had to pull out some from my stash...I found these little guy and girl chipboard images and threw together a wedding or anniversary card for my stash.  Play along with us, will you?

#18-27 - ATC CARDS

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to make an artist trading card.  They are cute little cards that are 2.5 inches by 3.5 inches and can be collected and sent to people.  I chose to make one for each of our design team members and will be mailing them this week.  I played with a few techniques like foiling and embossing and oxide inks...play along with us, will you?

#15-17 - best friends day

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is celebrating friends day.  You are to do a project honouring friendship...to me, nothing emits friendship more than these ladies and gents....they just look like life-long trouble.  Play along with us, will you?

#14 - fabulous February

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to celebrate February - or at least the colour of it's birthstone - amethyst or it's flower violets or irises.  I was close on the violets, but they are really violas...as close as I could get to violets in my stash...I made this card for my mother-in-law as they are her favourite flowers.  Play along with us, will you?

#11 - 13 - make your mark

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to colour anything you want using markers...I thought I would whip up some little otters and give them quick colouring (I made and coloured 40 otters ready for other projects because they were so fun and easy to do).  I made a couple of birthday cards and some valentines too.  Play along with us, will you?

#10 - remembering Jessi

tried to follow her clean style on this card and used up some of my few epoxy dots in her honour.  She will be missed dearly by me.  Please play along with us and make a huge tribute to one truly special lady.

#9 - inspired by quilting

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to make a project that is inspired by quilting...I went for some layers and squares and a little pieced giraffe for my project and I thought it looked quite Quilty when it was done with the different patterns and polkadots.  Play along with us, will you?

#8 - hearts on fire

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to do a project with a heart on it...doesn't have to be Valentine's Day related but something loving would be nice.  This little mouse is the cutest ever and I had to ink him up - a lot of fussy cutting on this one but he was worth it...play along with us, will you?

#1-7 Winter Blues

Welcome to a new year and new projects.  This year I am trying to do 300 cards or paper projects and am trying to use up some of my ridiculous paper stash.  I am also going to try to make sure that at least once every month new stamps meet ink.  I have so many that haven't been used so that is my goal this year. We are playing with the winter blues at Shopping our Stash this week after a bit of a holiday rest.  The goal of this challenge is to use blues or winter or a combo of the two.  I made a few playing with one of the new die sets I purchased just prior to Christmas...the layers are fun so I made a few.  Play along with us, will you?

131-143 - seasonal projects

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to do a seasonal project...we are getting ready for Christmas so I whipped up a few projects...the first one is a pop up box card that I made for an entry into a contest at our local radio station - hoping to win a gift card...the next ones are paper frames that I made for some quick decor (well, not really quick, that is kind of a lie) for the fireplace mantel and one for the mother in law.  Finally, I made some grinch cards because who doesn't love the grinch.  They aren't old stash though as I just got the stamps on Friday but I couldn't wait to play with them.  The sparkly paper however is quite old so I felt they could qualify.  Play along with us, will you?
