SOS- popsicle colours

 This week's challenge at Shopping Our Stash is to use this summery popsicle colour palette for your project - either the colours or the image or popsicles.  I chose the colours for my niece's birthday card as it just fit her personality perfectly.  Play along with us, will you?

SOSS- x is for x-mas in July

 This month's challenge at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is an X-MAS in July challenge.  Normally I don't like to make any cards that have to do with Christmas here before October as I don't like to jinx the weather - but it has done nothing but rain here for a month and no the blood thirsty mosquitos are out for lunch...so if I jinx it now it can only be for good weather - here goes:

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use a prompt for man's best friend- a pet of some sort. I chose these dogs as they kind of look like a more distinguished version of my little Bean.  She's a little more scruff and tumble- but she is also the softest and most gentle pup I have ever met.  Play along with us, will you?

 This month's challenge at the Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers is G is for Gnome - and if you gnow me you gnow that I love me some Gnomes - they are everywhere in my house (for every season) and in my card making.  Play along with us, will you?

SOS - up up and away

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use and image of something you would find in the sky...I chose clouds and raindrops as we are really seriously hoping hard for spring to arrive here...we had a snow storm this past week and it is so cold for this time of year that I am seriously ready to be outside in the rain...looking for some April showers to bring some May flowers (but more likely June flowers)...play along with us, will you?

SOSS - H is for happy birthday

 This week's challenge at the Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers  is to do a birthday project. I kind of phoned it in this week as it has been insane around here....and cold and still snowy- which doesn't help the scene much.  I used all the bits and bobs that I had laying around on my desk to put this together...no new pieces or die cuts were made and all elements were leftovers from other projects.  Play along with us, will you?

SOS - the golden years

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is called "the golden years" and as the name implies we are to use gold on our projects .  I foiled this lovely lady and threw in a sassy stamp from Ink Road Stamps for fun.  Play along with us, will you?

SOSS- Black heart

 This month's challenge at Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers is anti-valentines or black heart.  I'm not much of one to make Valentine's day cards but I'm also not against them...I just don't really use them so I don't make them. Instead I went for the black heart part of the challenge and took it literally.  Play along with us, will you?

SOS- Love Me Do

 This week's challenge is all about love this week at Shopping our Stash. We are looking for a love themed project from you.  I chose to use these darling little otters - because who doesn't love an otter - especially a set of otters in love?? I used the spellbinders kit of the month for December for this as I am trying to make use out of all of my products that haven't touched paper yet this year.  Play along with us, will you?

SOS - out with the old in with the new

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is out with the old and in with the new and I am back to participating and using up my stuff.  These last few months have been insane and I haven't been feeling too crafty, but now that Christmas is done and the new year is under way I am back into it full swing.  We had travelled in September/October and I came home with some sort of wicked virus and ended up with pneumonia.  It was no fun and then I felt "behind" all the way through to Christmas even though I was feeling better after about 5 weeks of being sick...the shopping wasn't done, the baking wasn't done, my cards weren't in the mail and the decorations were still in the basement.  You know how it goes.  I received my Crop and Create box the week before we left for our two week vacation.  I had every intention of getting it done as soon as I got home and was looking so forward to it...well pneumonia had other ideas for me so I am starting it now to make sure I use up everything in the box.  This is my take of the Taylored Expressions class. SOSS - N is for never before used

 This month's challenge at Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is to use something that you have never used before or something that is new.  I treated myself to this stencil from Michael's crafts as I have never seen a layering stencil in their stores and it was on sale so I thought I might have to give it a go.  Not the best stencil I have ever used, not the worst either.  It lined up nicely but it moved a lot while blending over top.  Even with tape.  Not one I will reach for often....but who knows?  Play along, will you?
