#67-91 Gah Pink

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is called Gah! Pink-make a project that is predominantly pink.  This has always been one of my favourite challenges as I love working with pink.  It's a tribute to our dear friend Leslie.  As in Leslie style I had to go over and above on this challenge.  I took me 8 hours to make 24 tags (12 shakers and 12 round ones) and it was worth every minute of it....Dedicate some time to your craft this week while remembering those you have lost...play along with us, will you?

#63-66 - lets play tag

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use a tag on your project or make a tag on it's own. I chose the tag on the project for this week...I still was needing a couple more Christmas cards and thought I would incorporate the challenge with the scraps I had left from my paper pack...but then I was hooked and made a few tags with some stencils to add to some gifts...I just couldn't stop myself...play along with us, will you?

#62 - I like to move it

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use moving items on your card...shakers, sliders, spring etc.  The otters on this card slide all over the place...so much fun...play along with us, will you?

#59-61 let it snow

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to let it snow...and what is more fun in the snow than some penguins??  I thought I would triple the challenge so the fun Christmas carols can play in your head while you look at them...let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...play along with us, will you?

#58 - a quick thank you

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to make a quick thank you card.  This one was done in 2 minutes and 36 seconds.  As fast as I could.  This one was done with orange cork and 2 different dies and a black background...quick and easy.  Play along with us, will you?

#57 - transportation

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use a mode of transportation in your project...I went with the classic car but you can use anything - plane, train, hot air balloon...you name it if it travels it counts.  I just bought this die, so it is not in keeping with using the old, however all pieces of paper on this project have appeared somewhere or other in many of my other projects...all scraps.  play along, will you?

#56 - colour combo

This week's challenge at Shopping our stash is a colour challenge...your mission if you choose to accept it is to make a project using the colours from this gorgeous swatch....I am pretty. sure my card has them all....mmm so pretty.  Play along with us, will you?

#54 and #55 - getting sketchy

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use a sketch for your card....this is my absolute favourite challenge...I loooove sketches...any kind, any time.  This one is from pagemaps and they have some fabulous sketches..tons of them.  I play with sketches lots, especially if I am stumped creatively.  Play along with us, will you?

pink Christmas #58-60

Lauren and Stephanie at the Jinglebelles run a pink challenge in October for Christmas...I don't usually post my challenges with them but I am a closet player because the idea is fabulous to make Christmas cards all year long...(I secretly catch up all year in a couple of weekends because winter here sucks and I don't like to jinx bad weather by making cards with snow or cold on them before fall lol) - but I always try to play for the pink challenge...so there are my entries.

#53 - the walking dead

This weeks challenge at Shopping our Stash is the walking dead...you need to use a zombie in your project.  I found this a real challenge...I am not into zombies and don't do much for halloween type cards because they just sit in my stash...I had to interpret this in a way so I could use my card after...it's a get well...I hope it is close enough to a zombie card. I was fun to think outside of my comfort zone to make something that will still be useable for me after...play along will you?

#52 - if the shoe fits

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use a shoe or shoes on your project..I love this little stamp and with it being October and all, I figured it would be appropriate.  The phrase is one of my favourites and one that was purchased many years ago...play along with us, will you?

#51 - giving thanks

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to give thanks by making a thank you card or something thanksgiving related.  I chose to do the thank you card because you can never have enough of them...also made with scraps so that is a bonus.  Play along with us, will you?

#48-50 - not your momma's card

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to make a card that might not be "appropriate" to give to your mother...something sassy or naughty...however that would be the best kind of card to give to my mother...she would love it...play along with us, will you?

#47 - the apple of my eye

This week's challenge at shopping our stash is to use an apple on your project.  I chose to use a cute die from the stamps of life that has not yet seen paper even though I got it around 2 years ago...perfect challenge to pull it out and give it a go...all scraps were used in making this card as well...play along with us, will you?

#46 - on trend

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to get trendy -use products that are super trendy in the scrapbook world right now.  You can actually see the trends throughout the stores you shop at too...this year everything seems to be coming up flamingo and pineapple in the stores around us...which is great as our neighbourhood is famous for flamingo items...so this is right up my alley...we even have a flamingo shower curtain in our bathroom...play along with us will you?

#45 - the most wonderful time of the year

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to do a project about your favourite time of the year...I am not sure that winter is my favourite, in fact I think it is not, but you couldn't get a more perfect sentiment on a paper than this, so for a really warm day in august, I will make winter my favourite time of the year, but only temporarily until it cools off here...play along, will you?

#42 -44 wood is good

This week's challenge at shopping our stash is to use wood grain or real wood on your project...I had this gorgeous wood grain paper that needed using up so that is what I did...it gives such a peaceful look for sympathy cards so I thought I would whip up a few because it seems there are never enough of them.  Play along with us, will you?

#41 - spice up your life

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to spice up your life by making a project based off of one of the spice girls - baby, scary, sporty, ginger or posh.  I chose ginger to use some orange oxide inks with a fun technique...and a coffee girl from unity stamps because she is just too much fun...play along with us, will you?

#32 - #40 countdown to Christmas

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to do a Christmas project.  So as much as it hurt my feelings to do Christmas cards when it is +30 C at my house (and with summer being so short and winter being so incredibly long and cold) I broke down and did 8 - yes you heard me - 8 cards in all white, like the snow....bbrrr...although after this heat a quick little snow might not feel so bad....no I didn't really say that....play along with us, will you?

#30 and #31 - bugs, butterflies and other insects

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use bugs, butterflies and other winged insects on your project...I chose dragon flies because here where I live they are a lifesaver...eating their weight in mosquitoes everyday...so the more dragonflies the better...play along with us, will you?

#29 - lightbulb

this week's challenge at Shopping our stash is to use a lightbulb on your project...I did three...and tried to add some bling so they looked a little like they were lit up...play along with us, will you?

#28 - clean and simple

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is a clean and simple challenge...to use and reuse and simplify...I used this paper that looks like multiple strips and reused some cardboard to make stars..a couple of epoxy dots and some ribbon and it is about as simple as I get...play along with us, will you?

#27 - flag day

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to show the colours of your flag...I am in Canada and we just celebrated our country's 150th birthday....this card represents my area in the summer as best as I can describe...lol...play along with us, will you?

#26 - lazy summer days

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to show you what you want to do on those lazy summer days...our weather so far this summer has been quite miserable, but it is supposed to take a turn to warmth in July...and my girls both got jobs at one of our city wading pools...so I thought maybe I might show up there looking like this for them this summer...lol. play along with us, will you?

#25- predominately pink

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use predominately pink on your project...this is easy in my books...I love working in pinks and also have two girls who do ballet and needed some thank you cards for their dance teachers...easy peasy...I love the silhouette look of this die...makes such a pretty shaker card...play along with us, will you?

#24 - happy mail

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to do a project with happy mail - post office, envelopes, letter writing and mail...I tried to get all of the theme into one card and finally inked up this mail box stamp and used the die for the first time - even though it has been sitting in my craft room for many months...play along with us, will you?

#23 - out of this world

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to make a masculine card...this was my attempt at a "masculine" look...kind of little boyish, but what can I say?  space and boys go hand in hand, I think??  Play along with us, will you?

#22 you are so sweet

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to do something sweet...use candy, cakes, fruit etc on your project...you can't get much sweeter than a sprinkle donut in my opinion...love a little donut here and there, so that is what I used for my project...play along with us, will you?

#21 - Music notes

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use something musical on your projects.  I chose to use this embossing folder as they have been sadly forgotten in my stash as of late...I have so many folders and never think to use them...so I brought them out to play with this week...join in with us, will you?

#20 - project runway

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use fabric on your project...ric rack, paper etc.  This card has fabric on the plaid layer...it was a sticky back fabric pack hiding in my pile of papers...bonus that it was a scrap too...play along with us will you?
