SOS- my precious

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use something you have been hoarding or haven't used yet.  I cracked out my coveted rainbow sparkle embossing powder circa 1993 and used it up on some of my Christmas cards this year.  It still had lots of ooomph in it and I am sad that it is now gone :( but I am working on trying to use up what I have instead of buying new to make some room in my craft space and that was the first casualty.  My goal for next year is to use up three more jars of embossing powder and not cry when they are done.  Play along with us, will you?

 

SOSS - H is for HO HO HO

 This month's challenge at the Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers is HO HO HO...I always like to whip up a few snarky Christmas cards and this year with the Canada Post strike I am feeling extra salty because I made all of my cards early and now I can't mail them.  I also have a whole bunch stuck in the mail system because I tried to beat the strike for all my international cards and they are hopelessly stuck all over the place.  So this will be the one card everyone can see.  LOL 

SOS - Masculine cards

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is always a hard one for me - Masculine cards.  I almost always end up adding bling or sparkle or something to make the card more glitzy and I did so one this one too...nothing better than some glitter pooches.  The bricks were done by embossing white paper and adding several colours of ink overlapping to make them look aged.  Play along with us. will you?

SOS - Time for a hot drink

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is "time for a hot drink" - use a hot beverage on your project.  I am always game for a trip to Starbucks for a half sweet white chocolate mocha and this card sure gives off those kind of vibes.  Play along with us, will you?

SOSS - C is for critters

 This week's challenge at Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers is to use a critter on your project.  I am not really sure if a balloon animal is considered a critter worldwide, but here in my craft lair it totally is :).  Play along with us, will you?

SOS - Birds of a feather

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is birds of a feather and the challenge is how it sounds - use a bird or birds, feathers or any combination of the two.  I have had this parrot sitting around for a long while and have decided it needed to be on a card - so it now is.  Play along with us, will you?

SOS - Halloween

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash  is all about Halloween - using the traditional colours of orange, black, green and or purple or use a halloween image.  I chose to make a gel plate background with different spooky oranges and black and use a trick-or-treating halloween dog.  Play along with us, won't you?

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is called Leafing it up to you and we are using leaves on our projects.  It can be fall or any other season or any type of leaf.  Play along will you?

SOS - true confessions of the design team

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use something that you have a lot of and really don't want to admit how much you truly have of that item.  My craft room is full to the brim right now and I certainly don't need more hot foil, hot foil plates, stamps, dies or paper.  So I have been on a mission to try and use some of the supplies up and not hoard them.  Play along with us, will you?

SOSS - A is for Autumn

 This week's challenge at the Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers is A is for Autumn.  I am not looking forward to the end of summer because that means winter is on the way but it was only +7 this morning so I know it is inevitable and almost here.  The only bonus is it is time to pull out the cool weather sweaters - hence the card.  Play along with us, will you?

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to make a card for Just Because day - and send it for no particular reason.  I chose this fun stamp and decided it was due to see ink for the first time.  The little bees I picked up ages ago at dollarama and have decided they need to get used up.  Play along with us, will you?

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is a colour challenge...I always find these challenges fun as it makes me think outside of the box and look through my stacks of paper to find something that meets the requirements. Play along with us, will you?

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash  is to use balloons on your project - either hot air or party - you choose how you want to float away.  I chose a hot air balloon because we are seeing a lot of them around here at this time of year...play along with us, will you?

 This week's challenge at Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is summer....something that is much too short here.  We are in August and the days are already getting noticeably shorter....a sign of wintry things to come...at least we have been in the +30's for the last two weeks and the rain has finally stopped.  Play along with us, will you?

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is summer and we want you to celebrate this awesome season.  This year for us, summer only seems to have showed up in this last week. We have been cool and rainy on a daily basis since May and it is getting old quick.  This week we have had some heat and sunshine and I am loving it!  Play along with us, will you?

 This week's challenge at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is D for diet...my absolute favourite tool to use is a die cut machine...love the little bits and pieces and glueing them all together.  Play along with us, won't you?

 This week's challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is to make a project depicting the outdoors.  Seeing as how the snow here may have melted (and hopefully stays away) yard work is the next thing on the maintenance list...play along will you?
