#50 - a little vacation planning
This week's challenge at the Opus Gluei is all about vacation...I am on vacation from work right now and had a bit of extra time on hand (ha ha ha), so I made this little book copied from a class I took a few weeks back. We are planning a cruise in February to the Bahamas with our next door neighbours...I can't wait for the warmth and escape from winter...and I am also addicted to cruising, so that helps too. I made them this book for the photos from our trip...I will add them after the vacation as a little surprise for them.

#49 - chippy flip card
This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use or make your own chipboard on your project. This flower chip board is one of the first chipboard embellishements that I ever purchased...and it finally has a home. I am trying hard to use up all my bits and pieces and it is a challenge in itself, but one I am diligently working on...play along this week, will you?

#48 - doing it old school
This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to do it old school...use tools or techniques that you did when you first started out...this card uses my first piece of "stencil" circle mesh ribbon that I started to use when I made my first card..I found it in a scrap box of decorating supplies at a local church basement when I went to my first "crop" - just a bunch of ladies gossiping and starting out with no supplies...the twine is also one of the first that I had purchased...this card is as old school as it gets in my supplies :) Join in with us this week, won't you?

#47 - danse nocturne thanks
This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use wet medium on your project...this card was made as a thank-you to the jazz teacher for the girl's Danse Nocturne creepy clown routine....I tried to mimic the costume design for her card to customize it slightly...I used embossing ink and ultra thick embossing powder to make the centre medallion after spraying it with copper ink and then cracked it to make it look old...filled in the cracks with watered down black paint and sprayed the orange sanded diamonds with copper spray tomake it look a little more like their costume colour and a little less halloweeny...play along with us, will you?
