This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is Sentiments only on your card...these cards are always so hard for me...they are generally plain and simple and I like cluttered and busy...but I broke down and went simple on this one with a bit of double stamping to try and shadow my sentiment....

#15 - alphabet letters

This week's challenge at the Opus Gluei is to use alphabet letters on your project...your favorite kind...this card uses alphabet letters to make inspiring words and I think that should qualify for sure!

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is a 3-2-1 challenge - use 3 of something (star pins), 2 of something (patterned papers - both sides though) and 1 of something (stamped label sticker)....easy peasey....why don't you join in with us this week....the challenge doesn't get much simpler to join in on!

#13 - lucky you

I played along with CAS(e) this sketch this week...and this is what I came up with...it has been so long since I played in a Challenge other than my design team ones, thought I might just jump back in and play a bit because the snow is so deep and the wind is so cold....brrr

#12 - Heavy metal birthday greetings

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use metal embellishments on your project...I have 4 kinds of metal on this one, all left over from kits and bits...the button was kind of cool, the last of it's kind....same with the odd flowery shape that I never knew what to do with....stuck it on with a photo fastener and used a metal heart to top it all off...play along with us this week....and use up some of your stuff!

#11 - mmmm chocolate

This weeks challenge at the Opus Gluei is Chocolate, Chocolate and more Chocolate...pretty easy thing to get your mouth drooling....I bought this set and never really thought I would use it, but just thought it was too cute....mixed it up with a phrase from another set and voila!  Another two sets of stamps that have seen ink this year!  Play along with us, will you?

#09 - you're a pop star

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is all about shiny things...bling, glitter, sparkles- you name it...I love sparkly things...I just joined in the Stamps of Life monthly "die hard" club and this was my first die and stamp set that arrived...my new challenge is to make sure everything sees ink and gets used at least once, so off I went to try this one out!  I used scrap cardstock and some remaining kit paper...the beads I got for free at a sale and felt they had to get used or why did I take them?  I covered the popcorn box in some rock candy stickles that I had sitting around (and never seem to ever use, even though I always end up buying them) and I coloured with some copics...haven't used them in a bit, so I pulled them out...plus I got some cool storage for them and my washi tapes...see below:


 
I sure do love when everything is portable and at your finger tips....let the creating continue!

#08 - my love

this week's challenge at the Opus Gluei is to use red, white and pink....I am not big into the Valentines cards, but I had this cool paper piece laying on my island and it was calling my name...so I chopped it up and a card it became...play along with us, won't you?

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is something Valentiney - I hope this is close enough - inside it says will you be mine?  I know it is not the traditional red white and pink colour combo...but hopefully it looks like something on would give to a true love...play along with us, will you?

#06 - Hello today!

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is called Cabin Fever....and it is going full strength at our house...we have had one of the coldest and most miserable winters in a long time (those snowbanks are over 8 feet high), and there is no end in sight...at least another 4 months to go...we hit some records this year, being the 4th coldest place on the planet and being consistently colder than Mars...not really sure why we stay, but I am really done with it all....so come on out and join in our "outdoorsy" challenge this week!

This weeks challenge at the Opus Gluei is to use trees in your project...I scraplifted the idea from a magazine, but put my own twist on it...hoping it passes as a masculine birthday card, as I suck at those in general....play along with us, won't you?

#04 - winter blues



This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is called the "winter blues" - you guessed it...card or project must be primarily blue...I am still trying to use up some of my card kits that I have bought over the last couple of years...that is my main goal right now...I caved and mixed and matched up all of my products because the individual kits were just stumping the heck out of me...now hopefully I will be able to create the crap out of them so they exist no longer ;)  - play along with us, won't you?

#03 - miss you




This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to do a miss you project...I had these flowers left over from a kit, as well as all the other papers...as you know my goal is to use up all my kit supplies this year and this put a little dent into one of them...just a little dent though...going to try really hard this week to get at least 10 cards done out of them though...however, I have been really stumped on card design ideas and everything I do seems to look kind of too crappy to take pictures of...this card may have broken my spell...at least hopefully because it is super frustrating to me to be stumped...join in, won't you?

#02 - everything happens for a reason

This week's challenge at the Opus Gluei is to make a project that is uplifting...this is what I came up with...I am trying to use up some of my kits and abundant supplies so I made this card from one of them...I even got to start in on some of my many unused washi tapes that I love so much and can't usually bring myself to use...join in with us this time round, won't you?

#01 - party time

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use something new...that is never a problem for me as the problem is that I always seem to have something new...trying to use up my old stuff, but I just can't resist the pretties in the store.  I purchased a card kit at my lss, but I was stumped with the supplies that it came with...not as flashy and as fun as I like to work with, but my goal this year is to use all of what I have from each kit I have purchased, so this is what I came up with...hoping to get at least 365 projects done this year...anyone else want to jump on board with me?

#79 - wish you were here

This weeks challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use up the last of something...I accomplished that on a few fronts with this card...the last of a card kit, the last button and the last piece of chipboard...bam, pow, kerpop!  Done!  Play along with us, won't you?  I am hoping to get a few more projects completed over the next couple weeks and get all 2500 pictures from Hawaii into my albums...so much to do, so little time!  My new year's resolution this year is to try and use up all my purchased kits....and maybe cut down on some spending for craft stuff...however, I say that every year and the stash just seems to keep growing...but that is my challenge for this upcoming year...going to try the 365 challenge again...365 different projects completed in a year...join in if you like...no rules...just personal goals....and to use up "stuff"...

#78 - 29 again?

The Opus Gluei Challenge this week is to use leftovers...food or supplies...I chose supplies as I needed a card quick...this card was made with some left over ribbon and papers laying around my craft area....I had this flower that was the last sticker on the sheet and thought it fit in sort of nicely...play along with us and have a Happy and Prosperous New Year!

#77 - one colour card

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use one main colour or a tone on tone card...this one cam around quite by accident and it just so happened that the paper, embellishments and ink all matched to a tee event though it was not planned out that way...and I used the wrong stamp on the card from what I had actually meant to use (they were not in the right order in the container and I didn't read close enough)...but the sentiment kind of worked quite well in the situation...play along with us, will you?


 

#76 - circles

The challenge this week at the Opus Gluei is to use circles in your project...I have been running in circles trying to get to this project...right now we are hopefully sunning ourselves in Tropical Hawaii...as long as there were no typhoons or hurricanes or tsunamis or sinking cruise ships....if there have been, please disregard this happy message :) (what happens when you write stuff in the future and all)...I had a card kit that I just had to use up before we left and this is what I came up with:
