#41 - April showers

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is April showers bring May flowers...use umbrellas, flowers, rain etc in your project...I cut this rose out of fun foam and played a bit with watercolour and stickles...lots of fun to do...play along with us, will you?

#40 think pink and ufo

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is a think pink challenge combined with a UFO (unfinished object) challenge...I had this shiny dragon sitting on my craft table for months and just did not know what to do with it...along comes the think pink challenge and voila...done card...play along, will you?

Think ink #39

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to think ink...use lots of ink and no colouring...I inked the background on this card and then the edges...I inked the birds and then did some antiquing on them...then came the ink splatters...so hard to not colour them in, but I followed the rules LOL...play along with us, will you?

A Chip off the old block #38

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use up some of your stash of chipboard.  I have these pieces that I just had to buy (they were on clearance for a quarter per package and I just had to have them) and have never ever used....well today I inked up this one and made a cute little gift tag card with it...play along with us this week, okay?

you stamped with what?? #37

This week's challenge at shopping our stash is called you stamped with what??? The challenge is to use something unusual to stamp with that would not normally be used for stamping or crafting, so needless to say, I went back to my crafting beginnings and grabbed a little potato.  I carved it into a cloud shape and made my background with it by dipping it in white paint and then clear embossing it to make it dry quicker....play along with us, will you?

Animal magnetism #36

This week's challenge at the Opus Gluei is animal magnetism - use an animal on your project.   I chose sparkly blue hippo shakers...how can anyone resist a hippo?  Especially a googly-eyed one...play along with us, will you?

April fools - #35

The challenge this week for Shopping our Stash is to do a faux technique in honour of April fools - no fooling - I chose to do the faux dry embossing technique with this card - where you die cut white on white to make it look like the items are embossed...not sure if that it the look that was achieved, but I do like the look of the card either way...play along with us, will you?

for the boys #34

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is for the boys - make something masculine for man or teen....can't get much more teen boy than a cool little skateboard guy...play along with us, will you?

This week at the Opus Gluei is all things Easter -  I chose to use a spring chicken for my project....and googly eyes make it all the more fun...the stripes represent the easter egg decorations that we will be hunting for...play along with us, will you?

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to do a St. Patricks day project...you know - leprechauns, clovers, pots of gold and rainbows...and green...well, I covered most of them in this shaker card that I made for a friend who is retiring at work on her birthday (which is St. Patricks day as well)...so I made her a good luck card...play along, will you?

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to do a one layer card...this one was lots of fun (I am not normally a one layer kind of girl), but I got to use embossing powders, water colours and all different sprays...combined many different techniques to make up for the lack of paper

This week's challenge at the Opus Gluei is Valentine's day - 'tis the season for love and this is my lovey dove card for the day...I like the colour scheme for this one as it is not a traditional valentine, but it still works and has a "bit" of masculinity to it....play along with us, will you?

dreaming of something warm #19

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to dream of something warm...you can use fire or hot drinks or beach or bathtubs...anything that makes you forget winter and feel warm and cozy...I chose the beach...we are not doing a winter vacation this year as we are doing a once in lifetime (for us anyway) family European vacation and cruise this summer, so the longed for winter vacation is a bust this year...worth it for the summer one though...so I am really dreaming.  Play along, will you?
