SOSS - N is for never before used

 This month's challenge at Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is to use something that you have never used before or something that is new.  I treated myself to this stencil from Michael's crafts as I have never seen a layering stencil in their stores and it was on sale so I thought I might have to give it a go.  Not the best stencil I have ever used, not the worst either.  It lined up nicely but it moved a lot while blending over top.  Even with tape.  Not one I will reach for often....but who knows?  Play along, will you?

SOSS - Snarky Christmas

 This week's challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stamper's is to do a snarky Christmas project.  This card totally speaks to my mood this year in my fall behind and never catch up Grinch feeling Christmas attempt.  I have nothing done - cards aren't mailed, trees aren't up, gifts aren't purchased and only some of the Christmas baking has been started.  But Oh Well....What can I do?  Take it one job at a time and hope to have it all done by the 20th ish...I can do it...I know I can!

SOSS - S is for Spooky

 This month's challenge for The Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers is S for all things Spooky....October is the month of ghouls and goblins and I chose to use a fun zombie with so many layers of ink and spray and embossing the shine and look in real life is out of this world.  This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is called a Stitch in Time and as the name implies there should be some type of stitching on your project.  I chose the cross stitch look for my project with this super cute set from Spellbinders.  Play along with us, will you?

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is "by the numbers" - use a number in your project.  I was tasked to make a 16th birthday card for a family member and this is what I cam up with. I thought it captured their sense of adventure perfectly.  I hope they like it.  Play along with us, will you?

SOS - outta this world

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is an out of this world theme - space, monsters, planets, sun  aliens etc.  I figured with May the 4th being this week I would bring a little Yoda love to the blog. Play along with us in a galaxy far, far away.

SOS - Hippity hop

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is called hippity hop - make an Easter card or use a rabbit or a chick.  In my opinion you can never have too many rabbits on a card so I did triple the bunnies.  Play along with us, will you?

SOSS - masculine

 This week's challenge at Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is to make a masculine card.  I always find masculine looking cards the hardest to make and I end up making them look feminine or feel that they are missing something.  I think this one makes the masculine grade though - hopefully??

SOS - no colouring

 This week' challenge at Shopping our Stash is to make a card using only mediums that aren't colouring - sprays, inks, smooshing, stencilling, ink blending etc.  I used multiple techniques on my project.  I ink blended the background and then embossed it.  I sprayed some water on it to make splotches and then used stencils for the flowers.  Play along with us, will you?

SOSS - G is for Green

 This week's challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is to use green or St. Patrick's day on your project.  I went for the green and used as many kinds of green that I could on one card.  I played with some interference ink to see what it would do on green paper and the result is super shiny.  Play along with us, will you?

SOS - one is the loneliest number

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is called "One is the loneliest number" and the challenge is to make a one layer card.  This is always a hard challenge for me as I like to make layers and frames on all of my cards and find it so difficult to consider a card "finished" without at least one border...but I followed all rules for this card.  Play along with us, will you?

SOS - Thrice as nice

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is called "Thrice as Nice" - we are to use three or more patterned papers on your project.  I am currently blasting out several get well cards from a Doodlebug paper pack and my goal is to use it all up in one shot.  This is the first of many cards I will be making.  Play along with us, will you?

 This week's challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers  is L is for love - making a Valentine or "anti-valentine" ... I am not one for usually making Valentine's cards but I can't resist this mouse and how his hands can hold all kinds of images so I jumped in and did it.  Play along with us, will you?
