I am still in shaker card mode from last week's Shopping our Stash challenge,  even though it is silhouette mode this week...I thought I would just combine the two to come up with my most favourite kind of card going...silhouette shakers...this die is so fun and I love the elegance of the shaker behind it...play along with us, will you?

#85-86 shake it baby

This week's challenge at Shopping our stash is to make a shaker card.  These are my favourite kinds of cards to make.  They are so much fun and there is such a variety you can do.  I made a couple of monster cards for my nephews' birthdays this year.  Play along with us, will you?

#84- get crafty

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to get crafty - use Kraft cardstock on your project... I did Kraft for the base and the hearts and one of the dogs...it is one of my favourite colours to work with.  Play along with us, will you?

#69-#83 Christmas in July

This week's challenge at shopping our stash is Christmas in July. I made a few cards like this last Christmas and loved the way they turned out so much that I went crazy this week making some more.  Play along with us, will you?

#68 - feed me

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use a food item on your project.  I chose a natural combination of milk and cookies, because let's face it, it is one perfect snack.  Play along with us, will you?

#67 - geometric shapes

This week's challenge at Shopping our stash is to test your math knowledge by using geometric shapes...squares, circles, triangles, hexagons etc...I tried to go as geometric as possible with my card...square, circle, rectangle and hexagon for sure...with a few hearts and a moustache to top it off...play along with us, will you?

#66 - flip card arrows

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use a machine for your project...I had to choose a die cutting machine as this is by far my favourite machine out there.  I love making these little flip cards.  They are so much fun and look complex, even though it is a die that cuts it all out so simply.  Play along with us, will you?

#65 - colour challenge

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is a colour challenge...summer colours are so much fun to work with...I thought I would throw in a pineapple and a flamingo for some flair.  Play along with us this week, will you?

#64 - a few favorites

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use a few of your favourite things on your project...from techniques to colours to supplies...whatever tickles your fancy....I chose to do a shaker card as they are my favourite type of cards....along with that, using die cuts are my next favorite and using squares top it all off...play along with us, will you?

#63 - graduation

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to celebrate the graduates in your life.  We had one last year and one next year, so there are none in our house this year, but some of the girls' friends are graduating this year so this is one of the cards I made for them.  Nothing too fancy but still it looks elegant to me.  Play along with us, will you?

#61-62 - may flowers

This week's challenge at Shopping our stash is to use flowers on your project...That is an easy one for me, I love to work with flowers.  I used this die with some paper piecing to make some shaker cards out of some scrap papers and leftover beads and buttons from another project.  play along with us, will you?

#57-#60 - for the kids

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is "for the kids" and what do you need more for a card for kids than birthday, so I whipped up a couple of them to have on hand for the nieces and nephews and any that my girls need to give to friends.  This was a simple pattern but worked for all the different cards.  Play along with us, will you?

#56 - butterflies

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use a butterfly on your project.  This butterfly is new to my stash...it showed up in my mailbox last week to be exact, however, everything else on this card is made from scraps and old embellishments.  I am not sure if you can tell in the picture, but the butterfly is actually 4 layers on top of each other, all inked the same and popped up with dimensionals.  Play along with us, will you?

#55 - Happy Mother's Day

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to make a Mother's Day project.  My mom's favourite styles are black and white or anything with teal, so I combined the two for her here.  And it goes without saying (well at least if my sister is around) that I am her favourite child - lol.  Play along with us, will you?

#54 - repurposed card

This week's challenge at Jingle Belles is to celebrate earth day by using something recycled or repurposed.  I found this Christmas card in my craft room when I was cleaning out a bucket. I was from 2002 and it wasn't even for me, it was for my mother-in-law from my mom's best friend.  Why I ended up with it is beyond me, so I chopped it up and made a card out of it (and I am going to give it to my mother-in-law for Christmas this year).  Not really happy with the way it turned out, but the secret joke of it will make it work out in my mind anyway.  LOL

#53 - mythical and magical

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use something mythical and or magical on your project...dragons, fairies, unicorns, wizards, trolls, gnomes - you name it and it can go on your project...nothing is more magical in my mind than fairies in the moonlight, so that is what I chose to use...play along with us, will you?

#52 - yo dude!

This week's challenge at shopping our stash is to go masculine...anything masculine will do...I chose a motorcycle as that feels masculine to me....cuz I wouldn't be caught dead riding one...lol..play along with us, will you?

#50 & 51 an orange in your stocking

This week's challenge at the Jingle Belles is to use this photo as inspiration.  I was smitten by these colours for Christmas...they look so fresh and bright.  I made two attempts at the challenge...the first one based on the colours for the plaid under the tree with a little bit of nature.  The next one is more of the colours for the pillows with some tree action.  This was a fun challenge for sure.

#49 - headed to the beach

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use beach related items on your project...it is hard to think of the beach here as it is still freezing outside.  It's like spring forgot to make an appearance this year.  We are supposed to be in for another storm on the weekend and snow on Wednesday so we will have to see what is in store for us....but I will relax and not flip out in front of the fire to keep warm...play along with us, will you?

#47 and 48- black white and one other

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use black and white and only one other colour.  This is not a colour combo I use frequently, but I thought I would play with some teal sparkly embossing powder and these stamps...play along with us, will you?
