Project 365 #81 - coffee cup holders

I thought these coffee cup holders would be a fun way to recycle the ones that come on my coffee from Starbucks. They just seem to make a coffee cup a little more fun! I am entering them in the following challenges (even though they are only the prototypes and hopefully the next batch are a little more snazzy). I laminated the images so they last a little longer than just one use. Thanks for looking!

Project 365 #80 - Joe's baby card

nutty nutshells: stripes or dots or both: http://nutcrafters-nutshells.blogspot.com/

Project 365 #78 -ribbon tree

So I did this tree card for Jana (she always leaves me nice and funny comments on my blog)...my last post mentioned the ribbon fetish I have and she happened to notice that my last few cards have been sans ribbon...so the Opus Gluei http://opus-gluei.blogspot.com/ challenge this week is to use ribbon in an unusual way....well...half a spool of brown ribbon later and we have a tree trunk...and sparkly fluff for the leaves....this card may look like it was made by someone in kindergarten, but it was lots of fun and has tons of texture to it... And...as for organizing...this is what 600 spools of ribbon looks like condensed into colours and nicely jammed into a bucket...what's that? yes, it all fit into one bucket...wahooo....that room is coming along nicely...soon it might be neat enough to leave the door open - that will be a first!

Project 365 #77 - Mother's Day cards

So I had this disasterous idea to organize my craft room...what was I thinking? I must be crazy, but it is starting to come along nicely...maybe when it is actually done, I will post some pictures?? Anyway, I took a break from organizing (I had no idea that I had 600 spools of ribbon...yikes!) and made these mother's day cards for my mom and Gordie's mom. I am going to enter them in the following challenges: Card positioning systems: sketch: http://cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com/ Cowgirls sunday challenge: mother's day: http://cowgirlssundaystampenchallenge.blogspot.com/ the crafty pad: use any punch (I used a corner punch): http://thecraftypad.blogspot.com/ Raise the bar: mother's day: http://raisethebarchallenge.blogspot.com/ if the shoe fits: mother's day: http://iftheshoefitsscrapit.blogspot.com/ Nutty nutshells: mother's day: http://nutcrafters-nutshells.blogspot.com/ for fun challenges: mother's day: http://forfunchallenges.blogspot.com/

Project 365 #76 -bookmark

I made this bookmark at the make and take for the MS crop this weekend. I made mine for Emily and my mom made hers for Lauren...

Project 365 #75 - Dee-lish

These are the cards that I am doing for our card making kit night...the kits are done and ready to go and I also made a few extras for myself cuz I liked them so much...I made 13 kits and my sample card plus the extra 4 on the right....glad I got those all finished! I am entering them in the following challenges:
Order of the Opus Gluei: make a set of something (entering a little late, but better late than never): http://opus-gluei.blogspot.com/
fussy and fancy: birthday card with a sweet treat on it: http://fussyandfancychallenge.blogspot.com/

Project 365 #74 - swimming kitty

I just found this phrase stamp on the crop
and completely forgot I had even bought it...it was hiding in the bottom of my rolling tote...thought the kitty would go along well with it. I masked him and the little fishies off and stamped the wave pattern over top of them. I am entering him in the following challenges:
Fab n funky: use something you bought a long time ago (I had that stamp so long that I didn't even know I had it in the first place!): http://fabnfunkychallenges.blogspot.com/
Just for fun colour challenge: gray, blue and orange: http://jffstamps.typepad.com/jffstamps/
Resq challenge: rainy spring, getting wet: http://resqchallenge.blogspot.com/
colour chef: orange, grey, turquoise and white: http://www.kjsstamppad.blogspot.com/

Project 365 #73 - Thanks a bunch

I made two of these...one for me and one for Cindy who was hosting the MS crop. She needed some cards to thank her sponsors, so she made a contest for all the entries. My friend Nicole won and got the prize...awesome! I am entering this card in the following challenges: Clearly inspired #12: ribbon: http://www.clearlyistamp.typepad.com/ Prairie Fairy: Distress: http://prairiefairyfridays.blogspot.com/ Crafty Creations: Distress: http://craftycreationschallenges.blogspot.com/ Tellen's Place: Distressing:http://tellensplace.blogspot.com/

Project 365 #72 - mushroom girl

I did this one at the MS crop as well. I used sparkly fluff on the mushrooms and the grass to add some texture. I like the fuzz....I coloured her with the copic markers...I am entering this one in the following challenges: Nutty nutshells: spring: http://nutcrafters-nutshells.blogspot.com/ Frosted designs: masking -this is actually two stamps masked on each other to make her look like she is sitting on the log: http://www.frosteddesigns.blogspot.com/ Creative card crew: birthday: http://creativecardcrew.blogspot.com/ Pile it on: is spring finally here: http://pileitonchallenge.blogspot.com/2010/04/challenge-15-and-dt-call.html

Project 365 #71 - bag purse

This is the little paper bag purse that we made in our class at the crop yesterday. It is cute and super easy to make...I can see myself using these for the girls and their friends on sleep over nights filled with penny candies or teddy grahams...so many possibilities! I am entering it in the following challenges: Shirley's 2 girls: sprink with flowers: http://s2gpapercraftingcontest.blogspot.com/

Project 365 #70 -Pixie Hollow

We went to a Scrapping for MS fundraising crop yesterday. It was lots of fun and I even got a few projects completed. I did this page for a sketch challenge. It won a prize, however I don't really get too many bragging rights for it, as there were only two entries, so I had a good chance of getting something! Would have been sad if it went the other way though!

Project 365 #69 - pool fun

This was the other page I finished in Stonewall at the Scrapganza....it wasn't a super productive day, but it was a fun one. This one is of the pool in Disneyworld. It was sooo cold, but that didn't stop the girls from taking a plunge in the fridgid temperatures. Everyone at the hotel knew instantly that we were Canadians...who else would swim in an unheated pool when it is -3 outside???

Project 365 #67 and #68 -garden grill

These were the first two pages I got done in Stonewall...I won a little prize for them because I used the papers from my welcome pack to complete them...whooo hooo...gotta love prizes.

Project 365 #66 - Spring hats

IT'S CONVENTION DAY IN STONEWALL!!! YIPPIEEE...I love this day...my favorite scrapbooking event. It is put on by the SCRAP YARD. There are great prizes and they feed us so well....and the sales are awesome too. Alison changed it up a little this time and we are required to wear spring hats to earn ourselves a prize...so these are the gems I came up with for Lorie, my mom and myself...just beautiful (hahahaha ...might just pee myself over that statement)...but they should get some good laughs and hopefully some good prizes... I plan to do a lot there today to catch up on my 365...we'll see what actually gets finished today...could just end up being a day of shopping and socializing...and that is not all bad either!

Project 365 #63, #64 and #65 - girly baby cards

Emily's ex-kindergarten teacher apparently likes my cards and hunted me down this week while picking Emily up from school. She asked me if I could make her a pretty baby girl card, and of course, I couldn't turn her down. I am always up for a challenge and a reason to make a card! I couldn't just make one though, cuz I felt she needed a choice of card so I did three different styles for her to choose from. I am not confident enough to just show up with one and expect her to like it...preferences are so different from one person to the next...which one do you like best? I think my favorite is the one with the heart...it is girly, but not too goo goo ga ga if you know what I mean? My mom just brought me the stamp with the teddy on the moon that she bought in the States while she was gone, so I had to use that too...and with all the Alice in Wonderland and fairy tale stuff out there, had to do one with this fuzzy rabbit too!...The only requirement for the card was that it had to have pink...not too vague??? Please leave a comment on which one is your fave...comments are sooo much fun! I am entering them in the following challenges, cuz as I said, I am always up for a challenge: Caardvarks: baby card: http://www.caardvarks.blogspot.com/ Flourishes Timely Tuesday: Bought it, Use it!: http://www.flourishes.org/blog/ Cuttlebug challenges: baby:http://cuttlebugchallenge.blogspot.com/ Deidrich Dare: brown and pink inspiration...rabbit card all the way: http://www.thediedrichdare.blogspot.com/

Project 365 #62 - 6 Easter cards

Happy Easter Everyone!
I have been a crafty slacker lately...we have had spring break here and have been super busy. I don't know how that happens when all of the kids stuff is cancelled, but it does. We bought a new van and the girls went to get autographs and pictures with Cindy Klassen. They were super excited to meet an olympic medal winner in person.
I also did the following little easter card...i thought they were super cute, so I made 6 of them! They are in a stair step card style...the first bunny says my feet hurt (his feet have been eaten)...the second says my back hurts (same fate for his back) and the third bunny is missing his ears and is saying "What??" Thanks Cheryl for the idea....changed it up a bit
