Project 365 #88 - Thank you card

This is the thank you card we made for Miss Linette, the piano teacher...recital is today and the girls just love going to visit her for lessons and practices...too bad the weather here has been so miserable. It was supposed to be outside in her nice back yard with a barbeque...now it is inside at a church and no bbq...what can you do? Maybe summer will get here someday soon...hopefully the unusual weather in March and April wasn't all summer is going to be this year...I can't do two miserable summers in a row...my body will be permanently raw chicken coloured if this continues! Project 365 #62 - 6 Easter cards

Happy Easter Everyone!
I have been a crafty slacker lately...we have had spring break here and have been super busy. I don't know how that happens when all of the kids stuff is cancelled, but it does. We bought a new van and the girls went to get autographs and pictures with Cindy Klassen. They were super excited to meet an olympic medal winner in person.
I also did the following little easter card...i thought they were super cute, so I made 6 of them! They are in a stair step card style...the first bunny says my feet hurt (his feet have been eaten)...the second says my back hurts (same fate for his back) and the third bunny is missing his ears and is saying "What??" Thanks Cheryl for the idea....changed it up a bit

project 365 #14 - box of chocolates - S2G indulgence card #40

I made this card for the indulgence challenge over at Shirley's 2 Girls...I love their challenges...and they always have a twist. Today's challenge is for something indulgent...and what is more indulgent than chocolate...hmm...maybe paper and bling? Anyway this card has all three, so there...all indulgences covered! I stamped the chocolates from a gel-a-tins set, covered them in stickles and put them in little petit four wrappers. The card even smells like chocolate...I cut the heart out on the cricut and made a scalloped edge for a box with a punch and some left over paper. The phrase reads : Man can not live on chocolate alone. But a woman can! Of course who ever wrote this has never met my husband...he could exist soley on coffee and chocolate, and many days he does. I did this second picture so you could see how 3-D it truly looks. You can find the challenge here: http://www.s2gpapercraftingcontest.blogspot.com/ and they are having a blog hop as well. Join in the fun!
Thanks for looking.

Scrappin' Great Deals guest designer

So I would like to thank Sheila and the gang at Scrappingreatdeals.com for giving me the opportunity to be a guest designer for their new kit of the month club. I was asked to design for the September kit as seen on the left. It was so much fun and amazing the amount of projects that could be completed from this kit and a couple of pieces of paper from my own stash. The kit...so full of bling and pretty colours...I was so excited when I opened up that pizza box and saw all the colours inside! I did the following 12x12 scrapbook pages...most of the stuff was right from the kit....added a couple of Mickey ears to the flowers on the ear page and a little extra orange and black for the Tigger page. The Tiggers were made on my Cricut machine and the yellow for his belly is the back of the flowery orange paper. His stripes are from the shiny orange cardstock.
Here are some of the cards and the altered project that I made with the leftovers from the scrapbook pages. This kit sure goes a long way.
Well I hope you like what you see...hopefully this opportunity might come again in the future...it was so much fun to do and I got so much completed!
Thanks for looking!
