SOS - Pyjama day

 Happy New Year...this week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to design a project around some pyjamas.  Mine is not really a new project this week (as we were celebrating our girls' 21st birthdays in Las Vegas this week - even though one just turned 23 while we were there - stupid covid put off our plans for a couple of years) - but I made this card a bit ago and they are my daughter's most favourite Kate Spade pjs, so I decided I would use it anyway.  Play along will you?

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use Christmas plants and/or greenery on your project - trees, boughs and mistletoe etc.  I went very simplistic for my greenery on this one because, well, everyone wants a hippopotamus for Christmas - especially one with mistletoe.  Play along with us, will you?

SOS -Shine Bright Like A Diamond

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is called Shine bright like a Diamond - we are to bling up a project or use something representing light like a candle, lightbulb or the sun.  I made this clean and simple card with the cutest little lamp die...clean and simple is not something I excel at as I possess the "too much" gene and often don't know when enough is enough and feel that more is better.  But I really like the way this one turned out.  This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use buttons, bows, eyelets, brads or ribbons..all of those old school embellishments laying around your craft area...let's bring them back to life.  What's old is new again, right?  Play along with us, will you?

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is " I only have eyes for you - use googly eyes or prominent eyes" on your project.  I chose a cool dog with sunglasses and a phrase referring to sight to try and get all aspects of this challenge...and then I threw in some googly eyes just because.  Play along with us, will you?

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is frightfully delightful - a challenge featuring something spooky or creepy - I chose a zombie.  I don't really do halloween cards, so I tried to find something that would be more useable in my life - thank you cards never go wrong.  Play along with us, will you?

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is called leaf me alone.  As you can guess, leaves are the object of this challenge.  I chose not to do fall leaves for this one as fall is already here and that means winter is around the corner...and I am dreading it.  Play along with us, will you?

ATC - September Snark

 This months challenge at A Tiny Craft is to use a snarky sentiment on your trading card.  As I donate mine to the lunch program for school age children, I had to keep it on the "clean" side of snarky (boo)...as clean as bird poop can be anyway.  What school age kid doesn't find poop funny?  This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is all about animal antics - Images of animals doing human type activities.  I chose bunnies figure skating...not something you would find in nature, but so cute either way.  Play along with us this week, will you?

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use books, book pages or anything back to school.  I love any opportunity to use this Altenew stamp set as it is one of my absolute favourites.  It totally reminds me of one of my daughters when she was little.  Play along with us, will you?

A Tiny Craft - remembering Lindsey

 This month at A Tiny Craft we are celebrating the life of one of our own design team members - Lindsey who passed this past month.  I didn't know her well as I just started working with her on this design team and am really saddened that I didn't get to work with her more and get to know her better.  She had an awesome clean and simple style and loved cats.  This is what I focused on when making my cards this week.  They will be donated to our food bank breakfast program in her memory to keep her crafting style alive.  She will surely be missed by many.  Play along with us this month, will you?

SOS - she sells sea shells by the sea shore

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is "She sells sea shells by the sea shore" - using anything beachy or ocean related. I loved making this oceany background out of a variety of blue papers from pink and main.  Play along with us, will you?

SOS - What the heck embellishments

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to find some strange embellishments in your stash and use them up.  The older and more mismatched the better.  I found a bag of random embellishments in my cupboard that came from a swap or something (and have moved with me for two houses and never been opened or even looked at) and they are really vintage looking and a style that I don't generally do well.  I tried to use up as many as possible on this card.  I am so not a vintage collage making person.  Even my husband said that maybe this card should not go to a person. Hahahah....he is usually super supportive on my card making so I know it is pretty uggers.  Oh well....they can't all be great, I guess.  Play along with us, will you?

ATC - cats and dogs

 This month's challenge at A Tiny Craft is to use cats and/or on your trading cards.  I used some super cute Tim Holtz crazy dogs for this challenge with some water colour techniques.  So much fun making these.
