Project 365 #99 - second card kit

for those of you doing the card night thing, this is my second kit(I made 18 kits this time, cuz I think I may just need a few extras for myself, and I like the way this one turned out). I am completely hooked on the easel card...they are so fun and easyt..a little less traditional. I like the pink and green combo for Christmas....I am going to enter it in the following challenge: Order of the Opus Gluei...cuz they are my favorite challenge blog: this time they have a sketch....here is where you can find them:http://opus-gluei.blogspot.com/ hope you can all make it...should be lots of fun...now off to make some tags!

Project 365 #97 - hope your day shines

Whipped up this little card this morning. Thought it met the qualifications for the following challenges: Opus Gluei : easel card...this one is all little more fall like :) :http://opus-gluei.blogspot.com/ and Mission to Create #25v: envelope, beige or cream, doilies, stipes and dots, something clear - crystal, hole or transparency: I have 4 out of the 5 and I am putting the card in an envelope, so that may count as 5 out of 5? probably not, but you can find the link here: http://www.missiontocreate.blogspot.com/

Project 365 # 96 - a start of the Christmas cards!

Okay, so we woke up to frost this morning...it is 9:33 and the temperature is still at 0 c ...not a good sign for a short and warm winter...it is frost before birthday in this part of the world and I don't like the looks of that one bit...but that is the trigger to start getting some Christmas cards done! These ones are a little gaudy...but the technique was so cool! I used the super tacky double sided tape and microbeaded all over the top of the stamped area...the front of the card feels so cool and it is kind of sparkly, but you can still clearly see the stamped image....I think I totally like the brown front best, but everyone who has seen them has had mixed reviews on what colour ink they like best under the beads...the paper wasn't a great match, but it is all that I had with me...hadn't planned on making Christmas cards, but had just bought all the supplies to do this technique...sooo much fun....now to come up with something for card making night....ooohhh have to get the creative wheels churning...it's only a month away!

Project 365 - #94 - Linette's trip card

This is a cute little easel card i made quickly for the piano teacher...she ran off to Germany for a few weeks to visit relatives...nothing spectacular, but done none the less....time to get back on the crafting boat now that school is back in session! I am entering it in the following challenges: Order of the Opus Gluei: easel into fall: not really fall like...well i would wear a sweater with those stripes in the fall, but it is and easel card :) : http://opus-gluei.blogspot.com/

Project 365 # 92 - paper flowers

okay...it has been a while since I have done much paper stuff around here, but we have had some weeks of gorgeous, hot and humid, sunny weather and that just hasn't been the norm the last few summers, so I have been out at the lake visiting the girls and just plain lazy when it has come to scrapping...but in this neck of the woods, winter comes all too quickly....so I had to get out while I could. But on the way to the lake last week, I found my new addiction....the cuttlebug dies to make these quilled paper flowers...yup...and I made 24 of them over the last couple of days...I am completely addicted to them! I added magnets to the back and I think they are super cute! I cut up all of my scrap paper and can't wait to make more.....they are just so much fun...and time consuming...24 took me two whole evenings...but think of how cute the fridge could look with these magnets holding up pictures...I am entering in the following challenge: http://opus-gluei.blogspot.com/
thanks for looking...hope your summer is great so far! going to the lake again tonight...flowers will have to wait till sunday....

Project 365 #89 - birthday card

Em's friend is supposed to be having a pool birthday party tomorrow...with the weather the way it has been, they will either freeze or hear the all too familiar phrase "due to inclement weather, this activity will be cancelled". Hopefully that is not the case...but I did a summer card anyway, just to put forth good thoughts about the season that does not want to arrive...I am entering it in the following challenges: Opus Gluei: Life's a beach (you can say that again):http://opus-gluei.blogspot.com/ Fab N'Funky: summer colours: http://fabnfunkychallenges.blogspot.com/ OCC sketch challenge: sketch: http://ourcreativecornerweeklysketch.blogspot.com/ Paper Sundaes: summertime fun: http://www.papersundaes.blogspot.com/ 365 cards: the word "party" somewhere on the card: http://365cards.blogspot.com/ Bunny Zoe's crafts: something girly: http://bunnyzoescrafts.blogspot.com/ enjoy, and feel free to leave comments!!!

Project 365 #88 - Thank you card

This is the thank you card we made for Miss Linette, the piano teacher...recital is today and the girls just love going to visit her for lessons and practices...too bad the weather here has been so miserable. It was supposed to be outside in her nice back yard with a barbeque...now it is inside at a church and no bbq...what can you do? Maybe summer will get here someday soon...hopefully the unusual weather in March and April wasn't all summer is going to be this year...I can't do two miserable summers in a row...my body will be permanently raw chicken coloured if this continues! I am entering this card in the following challenges: Mojo Monday: Sketch: http://www.mojomonday.blogspot.com/ Raise the bar: Sweet Music:http://raisethebarchallenge.blogspot.com/ Charizma Cardz: spots and stripes: http://www.charismacardz.blogspot.com/ Twisted Thursday with S2G: Pink: http://s2gpapercraftingcontest.blogspot.com/ Creative Cottage: think pink: http://creativecottagechallenge.blogspot.com/ Cupcake inspirations: picture of pretty cupcakes: http://cupcakeinspirations.blogspot.com/

Project 365 #84 - card making night projects

These are some of the cards we made at my last card making night....I think they turned out great...what a creative group of gals we hang out with. The next one will be in the end of October or the first week in November...so get your kits ready. The more kits you come with (in groups of 12) the more sets you can go home with. Christmas cards only at that one! We did it at the school this time and it was awesome. My house just isn't big enough for us all to spread out with all the projects and the food etc. We will definitely have to do it there again! Thanks Shari for that idea and offer!

Project 365 #83 - cotton candy page

I did this page for creative scrappers sketch #103 - it is late for the contest to get all four pages (sketches 102-105) done, but we had water flooding in the basement during the huge rain last Saturday and my crafting area is now a basement furniture storage area... :P what can you do? There is supposedlly going to be heavy rain again this weekend, so we left everything up on the third level to avoid any real damage of our stuff....so needless to say, only two of the four pages got done...oh well...at least it is two more disney book pages done! I love how the cotton candy turned out on this page...I made it with some cotton balls and home made spritz spray ( rubbing alcohol, hair spray and pearl ex powder)...the colour worked perfectly and it didn't cost $12.00 a bottle...yippee. Here is the link: http://creativescrappers.blogspot.com/2010/05/sketch-103.html

Project 365 #82 - The Flying Fiddler

Project 365 #81 - coffee cup holders

I thought these coffee cup holders would be a fun way to recycle the ones that come on my coffee from Starbucks. They just seem to make a coffee cup a little more fun! I am entering them in the following challenges (even though they are only the prototypes and hopefully the next batch are a little more snazzy). I laminated the images so they last a little longer than just one use. Thanks for looking!

Project 365 #78 -ribbon tree

So I did this tree card for Jana (she always leaves me nice and funny comments on my blog)...my last post mentioned the ribbon fetish I have and she happened to notice that my last few cards have been sans ribbon...so the Opus Gluei http://opus-gluei.blogspot.com/ challenge this week is to use ribbon in an unusual way....well...half a spool of brown ribbon later and we have a tree trunk...and sparkly fluff for the leaves....this card may look like it was made by someone in kindergarten, but it was lots of fun and has tons of texture to it... And...as for organizing...this is what 600 spools of ribbon looks like condensed into colours and nicely jammed into a bucket...what's that? yes, it all fit into one bucket...wahooo....that room is coming along nicely...soon it might be neat enough to leave the door open - that will be a first!

Project 365 #77 - Mother's Day cards

So I had this disasterous idea to organize my craft room...what was I thinking? I must be crazy, but it is starting to come along nicely...maybe when it is actually done, I will post some pictures?? Anyway, I took a break from organizing (I had no idea that I had 600 spools of ribbon...yikes!) and made these mother's day cards for my mom and Gordie's mom. I am going to enter them in the following challenges: Card positioning systems: sketch: http://cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com/ Cowgirls sunday challenge: mother's day: http://cowgirlssundaystampenchallenge.blogspot.com/ the crafty pad: use any punch (I used a corner punch): http://thecraftypad.blogspot.com/ Raise the bar: mother's day: http://raisethebarchallenge.blogspot.com/ if the shoe fits: mother's day: http://iftheshoefitsscrapit.blogspot.com/ Nutty nutshells: mother's day: http://nutcrafters-nutshells.blogspot.com/ for fun challenges: mother's day: http://forfunchallenges.blogspot.com/
