#17 Caffeine fix

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use a coffee related item on your project...I went all out with this doodle bug paper and the little cutie stickers...I normally hoard these as they are really expensive at our local shops, but I broke down and used the paper and the saying and the 3d stickers all on one card...so hard for me to do...play along with us, will you?

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use dies and punches on your projects.  I used multiple dies and punches on this one all with scrap papers from my desk.  It is my youngest daughter's 16 th birthday today so I thought it was a fitting card to make...play along with us, will you?

#11 - forest friends

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is forest friends...I am not quite sure if you would find a sloth in the forest, but this one would definitely be hanging from a tree somewhere, so I figured it is close enough...play along with us, will you?

#10 - luck o' the Irish

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is the luck of the Irish or all things green...your project should be predominately green...I went for a fun 3-d garden gnome to get into spring feelings here in our winter wonderland...play along with us this week.

#11 - you crack me up

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use a crackle medium on your project.  I used so crackle paint that has been hidden in my stash for over 20 years...I first used Tim holtz oxide ink for a base, then the crackle and a cream paint over top....play along with us, will you?

#9 - spring colours

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is a colour palette inspiration challenge. We are to use the spring colours or the picture for inspiration...I tried to combine the two together to do both halves of the challenge.

#9 - Mardi Gras

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to do a project that is Mardi Gras inspired.  I chose to go for the colours of the festivities and went for some sparkly bling too....play along with us, will you?

#8 - ohh la la

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to make a "romantic" card without using hearts...I kept with the red for Valentine's Day and made this card for my hubby...no hearts or mushy stuff here...play along with us, will you?

#7 - winter blues

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to beat the winter blues by making a project that uses blue but it can't be Christmas...I went for blue skies and summery looking as we have a snowstorm predicted for this week and above average snowfall for February and March predicted to come our way...please play along with us, will you?

#6 - days of yore

This week's challenge is to use vintage, distressed or shabby chic at Shopping our Stash...this is a style that I am very envious that other people pull off so easily.  No matter the inking or how many layers I put in to it, I never really like my end results.  This one was done with all odds and ends and bits and pieces, but it still feels like it is missing something....just not sure what??  Oh well...this is definitely a challenge for me and I am glad I got to use up some supplies that were just laying around...play along with us, will you?

#4 and #5 - all that glitters is gold

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is pretty self explanatory - all that glitters is gold...I did two varieties for this challenge following the same set up - one for a wedding and one for a thank you card...using gold is not my favourite...I always will gravitate to silver when doing metallic projects, but I like the way these turned out...might have to use gold more ofter..play along with us, will you?

#3 - fantastical beasts

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use fanastical beasts on your projects - monsters, faeries, unicorns - what ever your heart desires...I will always flock to a monster in a challenge like this...so here is mine...he is a left over from a kit I got a couple of years ago...it is almost completely used up now...just a couple more cards left to make from it...play along will you?

#2 - stickle me elmo

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use stickles or a like glittery substance on your project.  I used lots of sparkly, glittery goodness on this card - all with scrap paper from the paper stack...I love this stamp and there are only a few people I know that I can give it to, but they will absolutely get a kick out of it if they get it...play along will you?

#1 - shaped card

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to make a shaped card - but not round or square...I chose a flower to try and get spring to show up here as we are awaiting another blizzard while I type this post...the flowers on the card were cut about 2 years ago and just begging to be rolled and used...so to start off the new year in a good way - all pieces on this card are from scraps.  Play along with us, will you?

#104 - winter but not Christmas

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash (which is a two week challenge so we get a bit of a break over Christmas) is to make a project that is focussed on winter, but not a Christmas project.  I chose this 3-d image that I love and used a little bit on neutral winter paper that was sitting on my desk to complete it...the ribbon on this project is at least 50 years old and came from one of my grandmas when she passed...trying to use it up instead of holding on to it...play along with us, will you?

#96 - 103 tag you're it

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is called Tag you're it - make a tag for your project...I had a package of Santa belts that was calling my name to be used up...and all of these little tags had an ink spill up the side of them, so what better way to use them up instead of getting rid of them...now I have some quick Christmas tags for gifts...play along with us, will you?

#83 - 95 pretty packaging

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is all about the packaging - I saw a design on Doodlebug Designs for keurig K cups and had to copy it...changed it up a bit by adding a little box of chocolates as a tree trunk...I made these for all the coffee lovers around us (I actually made 12 of them and it took me about 8 hours to make them all...but they are super cute)...hoping they like them...they are kind of like a coffee advent calendar...play along with us, will you?
